GREEN SHIELD INSECT AND DISEASE CONTROL

Green Shield is a comprehensive tree, shrub, and turf care program. Multiple examinations enable us to identify insect and disease problems and to formulate and implement control strategies that are both effective and environmentally conscientious. These strategies include soil restoration, microbial additives, biorational controls, and, when necessary, use of natural or synthetic pesticides.

Green Shield combines two ecologically sound strategies: integrated pest management (IPM) and least toxic means. To diagnose problems, we monitor plant and soil conditions, weather, disease incidence, and populations of both harmful and beneficial insects. When intervention is required, we use the least toxic means to correct specific insect or disease problems. With this approach, we are able to produce healthier plants while reducing pesticide use by as much as 90% compared to traditional tree, shrub, and turf spraying programs.
